Small Elf Hall

Hey guys, I recently purchased a few things from elf cosmetics, they have just opened a small shop in a Cardiff Arcade. The shop is so pretty and the makeup is cheap and cheerful and good quality!

I bought this elf staple brush to apply my foundation, I don't go a day without using this when applying my makeup. The bristles are really soft and leaves my makeup looking flawless and gorgeous!

I love the pressed powder I will be repurchasing this product it is amazing. I bought it In the colour porcelain.  I love the finish with this powder and helps my makeup last ! Which is always a big plus. I love thet it gives me an overall matte finish.

I thought that I would try out the makeup mist and set after rewarding raving reviews online. I am not overally pleased with this product. You spray it over your finished makeup look and it is meant to set your makeup, however quite a lot comes out and I just ended up feeling sticky. I just don't think it does the job!

I love this product it really helps keep your eyeshadow on without creasing! It's long lasting.

Benefit Dandelion Blush

This is my first Benefit Blush and I had high hopes considering the price at £23.50. I love the colour, it is an appealing pink, pretty, soft blush. This has just the right amount of colour and you can build the coverage up if wanted.  I think this blush is perfect for people who have quite fair skin like me as it give me a healthy glow without  looking clownish.

However I am not to keen on the packaging, it doesnt seem very sturdy and considering the price I would of liked something  bit more fancier looking. The brush is very soft and feels lovely on my skin.

Body Shop Essential Beauty Collection

I've had a lovely weekend away in West Wales with my boyfriend, and when away I ran out of some of my skincare essentials, so I made a quick stop at  'The Body Shop'. There was an offer on when if you spend £18 or more on Make-up and Skincare you get a this pack of beauty and skincare items for free!! who doesn't love a freebie?

In the pack was a vitamin E skin-in moisture mask and Vitamin E Cream Cleanser. The Vitamin E Range is for anyone who is concerned by environmental factors which effects a persons skin. These factors include cigarette smoke, UV and UVA light and pollution. This range is also suitable for all skin types.

Vitamin E skin-in moisture mask
Firstly this little sachet goes a long way, the scent is gentle. I have combination skin and this mask worked really well for my skin type. I loved using this mask over night as it was able to really sink-in to my skin and in the morning my skin felt smooth and hydrated. Very pleased with the result.

Vitamin E Cream Cleanser
I really loved the Creamy Cleanser, the texture isn't greasy and left my skin feeling fresh and clean. It removed all my make-up effectively. This cleanser is very light, smells amazing and should be used twice a day.

I've never tried any of 'The Body Shop' make-up collection so was pleased to see that there were a few items included.

Big and Curvy Mascara
I really like this mascara, I usually wear false eyelashes so I never buy expensive mascaras. This mascara has had a lot of bad reviews on-line, many saying that it made their eyelashes clumpy. I however didn't have this problem. It made my eyelashes appear thicker, not sensitive to eyes and does not smudge or flake off. I like the fine, long brush. The only negative from this product I didn't find it really made my lashes curve, my lashes are very straight so this could be the reason!

Eye Definer: Black
This eye-liner is soft and didn't irritate my eyes. As for it was so soft meant that it was easy to smudge to create a dramatic smokey eye. The colour is quite subtle but you are able to build up the coverage. It also has great lasting power, which is always a plus!!

what's in my makeup bag..

I thought I would do something a little different today and show you what is in my makeup bag. At the moment I'm using an Elemis light blue bag and I like the fact that it is quite big. My mum bought me this for Christmas!

In my makeup bag I have a few of my essential makeup items that I use to create my everyday makeup look.

Healthy Mix Foundation
I always use healthy mix foundation by boujois. I always end up going back to this foundation. I love how you are able to build up the coverage and I find the colour range is brilliant and it matches my skin tone perfectly I use shade vanilla 52.

Duo Eyelash Glue
I recently purchased duo eyelash glue and I think it's absoultly AMAZING. My eyelashes will literally stay on all day without peeling or coming loose. When I run out I will defiantly be repurchasing this product.

Liquid Eyeliner
I picked up a really cheap liquid eyeliner from Asda, I've had it for a good couple of months now and it hasn't dried up I love the nib as it creates great fine line.

Elf Cool Bronzer
Elf has recetly opened in Cardiff and what a beautiful shop it is! I bought a few makeup goodies from there. I love the Cool Bronzer, however it is quite dark but used in moderation it creates a lovely healthy glow.

Benefit Brow zings
A few months ago I had my eyebrows done by 'HD Brows' and have been keeping them looking fresh with this amazing brow kit! The pigmented wax is perfecting for shaping my brows and keeping them in order. The shaded powder is perfect for setting my brows. I also find the mirror really handy and the little tweezers which come with the product perfect for travelling.

Collection Lasting Perfection Powder
I use this powder to set my makeup. I have only been using it for a few days it seems to do the job, but i have used other powders in the past which I have preferred.

Maxfactor Flipstick
The pigmentation in this lipstick is out of this world it is long wearing, bright and bold. It creates the perfect looking lip. I love that you have two colours in one product so you can switch it up if you like.

January Favourites

I thought I would kick the month of with my January Favourites.  I've got quite a few favourites this month, but lets get started!

£28

This month my skin has been glowing thanks to the Seaweed Collection by The Body Shop. I have combination skin so this range is perfect. The results have been amazing and my skin is clear.
I Love the Cleanser and toner my skin feels refreshed after using both these products.
The Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator is quite gritty in texture but really gets the dry skin cells away and removes any impurities.

These two have been my favourite hair products this month. I have really been loving the big hair look this month. I love batiste dry shampoo it keeps my hair looking fresh between washes and is soo easy to use.

I've also recently discovered VO5 give me texture which instantly gives my hair texture and volume. This powder makes my hair look healthy and I always get compliments when I use this product.

£44.99

I just can not get enough of GlamGlow this is my second purchase of the clearing mud. It has cleared my skin and keeps the blackheads away. I have even got my boyfriend hooked on this product it really does to miracles. ( read my GlamGlow Review down below).

My mum gave me this lipstick for christmas. It is Este' Lauder i the colour crystal coral. I love this shade and think it would be amazing come summer. This lipstick makes my lips feel super soft and hydrated.

I'm a huge fan on the Lily Flame Candles. They have a range of different scents but Blush has to be one of my favourites. Its a very sweet fragrance and girly. I love the way it makes my room smell!!.

GLAMGLOW

Firstly Happy New Year!! I'm so excited about writing a review about my new favourite skincare Product GlamGlow. GlamGlow is an AMAZING product, you really see the results. I purchased the Supermud Clearing Treatment and the Youth Mud.

Supermud Clearing Treatment.

I have combination to Oily skin and suffer from blackheads and breakouts. I have been using this mask every night for about a week and my skin looks flawless. I apply a thin layer all over my face and leave it on for around 20 minutes and remove with a hot flannel. I now have no blackheads on my nose or chin and my skin is completely clear. My skin is silky smooth and looks glowing. The Mud mask visibly draws out dirt and impurities. I bought the Clearing treatment for £44.99 which is on the expensive side but a small amount of product can go a long way.

Youthmud Exfoilating Treatment.

The Youthmud claims to tone, tighten and lift the skin. After using the Youthmud my skin feels so soft and my complexion is brighter. I use the Youthmud once a week and again I leave the mask on for around 20 minutes and remove with a Warm Flannel. The Youthmud Face mask does make your skin feel tingly. I love using this mask before a night out as my makeup goes on flawlessly.

Have you used the GLAMGLOW products?

October favourites

Today I thought would do a blog post on my favourite products/fashion items that I was loving through October. Firstly where did October go it just flew by and I can't believe it's November already.. Where has this year gone!

Last month I was loving this lipstick from collection 2000 in the shade pink crystal. It is almost like a barbie pink shade and feel it goes great with my skin tone and hair. This lipstick if soft and shimmery. This lipstick cost £2.79 and I think it's amazing for the price. It is good coverage and quite long lasting. Big thumbs up from me.

I love este lauders double wear foundation in the shade tawny. I find it really long lasting and makes my complexion look flawless which is always a massive plus. A bottle lasts me about 3 months which is amazing and I find this very cost effective.
Last month my skin broke out and looked awful, shiny and oily so for the first time I purchased este lauders matte perfecting primer. My first thoughts is that it's very good and defiantly keeps me looking matte for long period of time. Ill keep you updated with this product as it is still early days.

Like I mentioned earlier my skin suffered badly from breakouts last month so I purchased the foaming cleanser from the body shop which was In the tea tree skin clearing range. I find the foaming cleanser really quick and easy but won't be repurchasing this product mainly because I prefer a creamy cleanser that can be used with cotton pads so I can actually tell if my face is squeaky clean.

I love the seaweed pore cleansing exfoliatior. My skin feels so smooth after using it and my face looks radiant.  The little brush is really useful to for getting a intense cleanse.

Due to the change in weather my lips have been quite dry so I bought Vaseline rosy lips this is very hydrating. I also love wearing this over my lipstick for a glossy look.

I bought this pink satchel from river island. I love it I think it's super cute. It has quite a few compartments which is handy. This costs £20.00.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

Hey dolls,

Its a quick post from me today. Recently I have been purchasing a lot of different foundations to find anything that is as good as Bourjois's Healthy Mix Foundation. I thought I would give Maybelline fit me foundation a go.

I bought this foundation in the colour Classic Ivory shade 120. This foundation is easily blendable as well as  buildable. This foundation also come with an SPF 15 which is fabulous for protecting my skin in the sun. As I have combination to oily skin, I find after a few hours it does seem to fade and I become very oily looking and in desperate need of some powder. Have you tried this foundation, if so what did you think?
